The Loggia was the Club of Venetian and Cretan rulers of the Kingdom of Crete. Today it accommodates the Municipality of Heraklion. In the area of the loggia are many charitable events and bazaars. Also, many young dancers performing elaborate stunts break dance weekends.
The Archaeological Museum St. Nicholas was founded in 1970 with a view to report findings from Eastern Crete.
The catholicon of venetian Monastery of San Francesco accomodate the Archaeological Museum of Chania. As Archaeological Museum was opened in 1963.
